副词ever主要的一个意思是 “at any time”， 即“在任何一个时间”， 表示一个时间点，它不同于always。后者表示“at all times”或“all the time”，是一个表示连续意义的频率副词。要用好ever，我们应注意如下几点。

    三、not ever在意义上就等于never，但在一般情况下都用never，而不用not ever，尤其在简略回答时决不能用not ever 。

He hasn’t ever spoken to me. (=He has never spoken to me. )他从来没有跟我说过话。

You won’t ever see her any more.(＝You’ll never see her. )你将永远不会再见到她。

?      Have you ever surfed in Hawaii ?                    ---你在夏威夷冲过浪吗?

?     No, never. (or Not yet.)   (不能用not ever)           ---没有，从来没有。(或还没有)

    四、虽然ever不等于always，但在旧的用法中，ever可等于always，主要用在少数正式场合的肯定句、短语和习惯用法之中。
